Candlelight Vigil Held Outside Clintons’ Mansion

A candlelight vigil was held outside of the Clintons’ Dutch-colonial style mansion Wednesday night, following Hillary Clinton’s defeat in the election. Thousands of men and women gathered in Chappaqua, NY to voice their mourning of Hillary’s political career, and their deep concern over what Hillary and Bill Clinton will do next. “I’m not nearly as worried about the country under Donald Trump as I am about Hillary’s future,” said Barbara Pliapa, a woman from nearby Armonk. “Does Hillary have a 401k plan?” she inquired. “How do we even know that she will be able to afford her retirement?” Other mourners seemed to resonate with Barbara’s call, expressing concerns such as “The WiFi seems really slow here, how will the Clintons’ possibly have high-speed Internet access?” or “What will happen to the Clintons’ investment portfolio now if the stock market crashes?”

The attendees silently held candles and marched down the luscious streets full of ornate homes with huge backyards. One former Democratic party official, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that he was even more concerned about Bill than Hillary. “I really feel bad for Bill,” he said, “Now that Democrats won’t be able to conveniently defend his sexual assault allegations for political purposes.” He continued: “Bill’s declining reputation is probably my biggest fear for Trump’s presidency, followed by the money I wasted in Super PACs for Hillary.”

The attendees dispersed after a couple of hours, hoping that not all was lost for the Clintons. On a related note, candlelight vigils for CNN, MSNBC, Slate, and the Huffington Post will be held later this week.
