MIDDLETON, MASS: Gilda Templeton and Shaun Lowry were married at Paradise Miniature Golf Course in Middleton on February 24th, 2018. Templeton and Lowry have had a most unconventional relationship; the two met while attempting to catfish other singles on the dating website Plenty Of Fish. “I used the picture of my super hot family friend Michele, because I wanted to get hot guys. There’s not much to it,” Templeton said of her catfishing. “Shaun used a picture of his second cousin Terrence, a former Marine. I sent him a pickup line asking if he learned to search for ‘booty’ in his time as a Marine, which ‘Terrence’ found quite funny.”

The two chatted as their alter egos for hours on end before deciding to meet up at a bar in Allston, MA. While Templeton was not that nervous about meeting up, Lowry was beginning to fear the repercussions of his identity switcharoo. “I wasn’t sure if, you know, she’d like me once she found out the closest I had come to serving in the Marines was almost drowning at the YMCA when I was 14. I still don’t know how to swim,” he said. But Lowry and Templeton, each wearing a sticker on their shirts that said “Looking for Booty” the night they met up, embraced their identity theft rather than awkwardly ignoring it.

“At the end of the day, Shaun wasn’t Terrence. But he wasn’t totally ugly and he didn’t get mad at me. So we talked about what led us to catfishing and we even bonded over our shared history. The rest of our relationship has been an exercise in truth-telling for us both. I even stopped wearing my dentures, because having fake teeth felt like a lie and my new passion for the truth was stronger than ever,” Templeton spoke, getting her spittle all over Lowry. The couple dated for three years and in that time have taken truth-telling to the extreme.

“I bought Gilda a $14 engagement ring from a pawn shop because I didn’t feel that a piece of metal was important enough to drop thousands of dollars on. I told Gilda this straight up, and even though she cried for five straight days, she ended up appreciating my honesty,” Lowry grinned. The couple held their wedding at the Mini Golf course in order to celebrate their own “hole in one” at love, and because even though the grass is fake, the games and triumph are real. “Plus, Shaun’s kink is having me blow him with three golf balls in my mouth, so we figured we could get a discount,” Templeton sighed dreamily.
